Levi Johnston, the guy that was once engaged to Sarah Palin’s daughter Bristol Palin, claims Sarah resigned in hopes of cashing in on a book deal.

A spokeswoman Meghan Stapleton, for Gov. Sarah Palin is calling the comments absurd and distasteful.

Levi Johnston comments could be an attempt to get back at former fiancee Bristol Palin, by attacking her mother in the media, or they could hold some truth.

Johnston claims that while living with the Palin family for a short stint, he over heard Sarah Palin, talking about how nice it would be to just run away with the reported million dollar book deals that were being thrown her way.

The final blow came when Levi Johnston was asked if he would vote for Sarah Palin, and he had this to say, according to the Associated Press, Johnston said: “I think she’s a great lady, but after seeing what she did now, you know, leaving Alaska, I would have to say, ‘no.’ Obviously she’s stressed out as governor. I mean moving up to the vice president or president is huge. I just don’t think anymore that she’s cut out for the job.”
