Mackenzie Phillips says her dad raped her

Mackenzie Phillips pictured here, said Wednesday that her father John Phillips raped her when she was younger.

John Phillips was the leader of the 1960s pop band, “The Mamas and the Papas”.

Her father who is now dead, will never have a chance to clear his name, but his former wife Genevieve Waite says, that John would have never done such a thing.

Mackenzie who released a new book called, “High on Arrival”, told Oprah Winfrey in an interview about the alleged abuse.

Phillips, 49, who starred on TV’s “One Day at a Time,” said the sexual relationship with her father lasted a decade and ended when she became pregnant and didn’t know who had fathered the child. She had an abortion, which her father paid for, and “and I never let him touch me again.”

Mackenzie’s sister Chynna Phillips confirmed the story.
