Billy Mays‘ autopsy shows he died of heart disease, coroner says.
A medical examiner in Florida says Mays, a voluble TV pitchman, showed no evidence of head trauma. Mays said Saturday he had been struck on the head while aboard an airliner that made a rough landing.
Preliminary autopsy results show that Mays suffered from hypertensive heart disease, Hillsborough County Medical Examiner Vernard Adams said during a televised news conference this morning. Toxicology and tissue tests will take several weeks before a final cause of death is issued, he said.

Billy Mays was found dead by his wife in his Tampa, Florida home on June 28, 2009. The Associated Press reported that there were no indications that the house had been broken into, and that police did not suspect foul play.
According to Fox News, Mays had been aboard a US Airways flight that blew out its front tires as it landed at Tampa International Airport on June 27, the day before his death. None of the 138 passengers and five crew members were reported to be seriously injured immediately following the incident, but several passengers reported having bumps and bruises from falling objects. Mays told the local Tampa TV station that some of the objects “hit me on the head, but I got a hard head.” It is unclear whether Mays’ death was related to the incident.

Then we heard news about Billy Mays death.
Ed McMahon, a friendly face on late-night television for 30 years as the announcer and sidekick for Johnny Carson on NBC’s “The Tonight Show,” died on Tuesday at age 86.
Actress Farrah Fawcett, the “Charlie’s Angels” television star, died on Thursday after a long battle with cancer. She was 62.
Michael Jackson suffered a cardiac arrest at his Holby Hills, California home just after 12:20pm. The 50-year-old Jackson reportedly collapsed at his home and was dead when EMTs arrived.
