Plaxico Burress pleads guilty to weapons charges

Former New York Giant Wide Receiver pleads guilty to a weapons charges.
Today, Thursday August 20, 2009 Plaxico Burress plead guilty and agreed to a two-year prison term, stemming from the accidental shooting of himself in a Manhattan nightclub.
Not only will Burress spend two years in jail, but he will have to serve two years of supervised release.
Plaxico Burress was indicted earlier this month on two counts of criminal possession of a weapon and one count of reckless endangerment. He faced a minimum sentence of 3 1/2 years if convicted at a trial.
In a Manhattan state Supreme Court room on Thursday, the soft-spoken Burress, wearing a dark blue suit, first entered a not-guilty plea to the initial charges against him. After attorneys on both sides conferred, Burress said, “Guilty” to the new attempted weapons possession charge.
Do you think Plaxico’s sentence is fair? Keep in mind he did shoot himself already.

I told you I would give you an update on the Plaxico Burress gun shot ordeal. It appears that Plaxico Burress is the new Cheddar Bob. If you do not know who Cheddar Bob is, let me tell you. Cheddar Bob is a character from Eminem’s 8 Mile Movie. Well in the movie Cheddar Bob shot himself in the leg just like Plaxico Burress did. How stupid can you be Plaxico? Loosen up those braids. Plaxico shot himself in the right thigh. The wound is said to be non-life threatening. I guess this is good news for Plaxico Burress’s wife.
